Certificates of Conformance (CoC) normally refers to the manufacturing standard of a product. This type of certification is provided by a manufacture to confirm that the standard of a product that is being mass produced is maintained throughout the production process.

When a product item is the subject of a CoC it is not uncommon to find that it forms part of a batch of the same items. It is important therefor to reference the item and link it to a given CoC, it is also important that when changing out the item that the link is updated toa new CoC.

During an inspection, the requirement to validate the items CoC to ensure that the item can be accepted as being manufacture to the required standard is important. If this validation cannot be accomplished, then the item may need to be replaced to ensure that there is no risk to potential users of the item.

Our system provides a secure method and  monitoring  process to ensure that CoC’s are linked correctly and in cases of change out (including when equipment number match) the system records the change  and flags up the CoC change requirement both on the system report and in the customers Library.

C2 Competencies
Human Resources Module

Cobalt provides a management tool that monitors the status of the discipline certification that validates the competencies of the employee working in a critical environment

The module will also support any related certificates or documents needed for access to the asset. If the business is using contracted employees’ provision is made for registration and monitoring of their status.

1. Disciplines include:
         Lifting Gear, NDT, Rope Access, EX & Dropped Objects.
2. General Certificates:
        Offshore Medical, Offshore Survival, Miscellaneous [Eye Test, Logbooks etc]
3. Contracted Employees:
        Certificate of Incorporation, Employers Liability Ins & Public Liability Insurance

All of the certification data is recorded and retained within the employee record. The system runs a traffic light monitoring process with automated notifications to the owner of the certificates and the business, prompting updates where required.

The output report is a Gap Analysis of the status of all certifications related to staffing.

C3 Certificate of Compliance
Equipment Module

A certificate of compliance in simple terms can be referred to a document the shows that the equipment having been checked by an accredited person, complies with the relevant standards and regulations related to the equipment.

Equipment certifications are implemented during the manufacturing and production of equipment to verify that the equipment is operating within the specifications defined in the production process. This conformance to regulations and standards reassures owners of the equipment that it is fit for purpose.

When the need arises for the equipment to be revalidated to ensure it is compliant to the required regulations and standards needed, it is important to check that any instruments used to measure the equipment are Calibrated in accordance to all relevant standards and regulations.

Calibration is the process in which an instrument is used to measure a standard of known or assigned correctness. Any difference found is assessed and corrected thereby ensuring accurate measurement by the instrument when used during the revalidation of the equipment

Precision instruments that are used to revalidate equipment accurately will have a certificate of compliance. In the Cobalt System these certificates are linked to the inventory record of the precision instrument. The inventory record provides the following information:

1. Current & Next Calibration dates
2. History of usage
3. Secure 24/7 365 online access
4. Link to end user customer via Report Library
5. Down loadable document

The supporting documentation verifying that the instruments used during a revalidation of equipment was fully compliant meeting the required regulations and standards. This ensures total customer confidence and assurance in the businesses carrying out revalidation process.

C4 Consistency Methodology
Inspection Module

In a modern world it can be difficult to maintain a satisfactory maintenance process meeting the regulations and standards governed by law. Businesses also need a competitive cost-effective solution which often can result in a change in the vendor that provides the service.

Cobalt’s approach is based on a two-tear interactive solution:

1. Regulations & Standards Extraction
2. Consistent Method of Implementation

Regulations & Standards are based on a set of criteria with a focus on ensuring that the equipment being tested is fit for purpose. Therefore, there is several checks to be done, at the end of each check is a conclusion, normally:

1. Good to Go                              Green Light     
2. Needs Repairing                      Amber Light
3. Needs Replacing                      Red Light

If each check is a simple question that has a definitive answer of yes or no, then it is easy to identify the appropriate conclusion. By applying this method then each inspected item has a fixed criterion. This means that when reinspecting the item using the same method results in consistency in output.

Consistent method of implementation is not only based on the regulations & standards it also applies to the structure of the inspected items in locations. Cobalt also supports a full locations map for each item to be inspected. If the items are mobile, then the system will automatically relocate the items
